A new report finds that 93 percent of 2020-21 University of Illinois Springfield bachelor’s graduates are employed or continuing their education.
The UIS Career Outcomes Report is based on a year of post-graduation data collected and compiled by the UIS Career Development Center and the Office of Institutional Research. The team was able to determine outcomes using email survey data, LinkedIn profile information and National Student Clearinghouse records.
The report finds that 49.6 percent of 2020-21 bachelor’s graduates are working full-time, 2.4 percent are working part-time and 40.9 percent are continuing their education. Less than five percent of bachelor’s graduates were unemployed or seeking employment. UIS was able to determine outcomes for 60.8 percent of the total undergraduate class.
Among 2020-21 master’s degree graduates, the report finds 92.2 percent are employed or continuing their education. A total of 83.5 percent of graduates are working full-time, 2.4 percent are working part-time and 5.5 percent are continuing their education. Less than eight percent of master’s graduates are unemployed or seeking employment. UIS was able to determine outcomes for 57.7 percent of the total graduating master’s degree class.
The report finds that UIS graduates are working for Horace Mann, OSF Healthcare, State Farm, the State of Illinois (multiple agencies), the University of Illinois and TEKsystems, along with other companies.
Graduating students receive emails from the Career Development Center through GradLeaders’ Outcome Survey platform starting in the weeks immediately preceding their graduating date asking for the survey to be completed. Graduates can update their survey response for up to a year after graduation, and graduates will receive periodic reminders about the opportunity to update their survey response.
