A Family Tradition for 75 Years

The Sangamon County Fair returns for its 75th year from Wednesday, June 11 through Sunday, June 15 at the fairgrounds in New Berlin. This year’s fair honors its longstanding legacy with a robust lineup of entertainment, exhibits, and family-friendly activities.


A staple of the region’s summer calendar, the fair will feature youth livestock shows throughout the week alongside a wide range of youth and adult exhibits in categories such as arts, culinary, and horticulture. With record attendance at recent grandstand events, organizers have added extra seating to accommodate more guests.


Grandstand Entertainment Schedule:

  • Thursday, June 12: Full Throttle Monster Trucks – 7 p.m.

  • Friday, June 13: Country music star Tracy Byrd with Jake Worthington – 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, June 14: Sangamon County Fair Rodeo – 7 p.m.

  • Sunday, June 15: Demolition Derby – 5 p.m.


Special Events Include:

  • Wednesday, June 11: Miss Sangamon County Queen Pageant – 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, June 12: Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m. at the 75th anniversary sign near the Timber Lodge, followed by an ice cream social and live music from the Capital Area Big Band in the Warren Boynton State Bank Pavilion

  • Saturday, June 14: State-qualifying LEGO competition – 3 p.m. in the Commercial Building

  • Sunday, June 15: Father’s Day Car Show, with registration from 9 a.m. to noon and awards at 3 p.m.

  • Sunday, June 15: Little Miss Pageant – 2 p.m. in the Adult Exhibit Building


Swyear Amusements returns with all-day carnival access available for $30 per day or $120 for a weeklong pass. Sensory-friendly hours are scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, supported by a grant from the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln.


A full slate of local live music is scheduled throughout the fair in the Warren Boynton State Bank Pavilion, featuring performances by Deja Voodoo, Brushville, The Longmeyer Band, Neon Rodeo (a 90s country tribute), Menace to Sobriety, Lick Creek, Alex Pearce, and Bustin’ Loose.


General admission is $5 for ages five and up, while children four and under are free. On-site parking is available for $10 per vehicle, with nearby free parking options also offered. Each grandstand event requires a separate ticket.
