Budzinski Supports Eliminating Middle Class Tax Cuts

President Biden’s former Chief of Staff for his Office of Management and Budget Nikki Budzinski has made removing tax cuts for middle class families in Central Illinois, where she recently moved to from Washington D.C. to run for Congress, a top priority.

At the top of her plan for middle class ‘relief and rising costs’ is the removal of federal tax cuts that saved the average Illinois family over $1,000 per year. That is on top of the more than half the estimated $2,000 that Illinoians are expected to lose to inflation.

“I know that Nikki is used to living in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.,” said Regan Deering, candidate for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District. “She may not understand our district’s family budgets because she just moved here, but Central Illinois families are struggling to make ends meet with high costs of everyday needs like groceries and gas. The last thing families need right now is a tax increase introduced by a millionaire like Nikki Budzinski. I will absolutely oppose any legislation that would remove those savings that Illinois families depend on and will look for more ways to reduce their tax burden.”
