Springfield Mayoral Candidate Misty Buscher has received two major endorsements; Springfield’s local police and fire unions both endorsed Buscher over her opponent Jim Langfelder in a recent round of announcements. The endorsements highlight Buscher’s commitment to public safety and her ability to work effectively with the city's public safety agencies.
The Police Benevolent and Protective Association Unit #5, which represents police officers and sergeants of Springfield said in their endorsement, "We believe Misty is the best candidate and will work hard to provide the necessary resources for Springfield’s finest. It is our belief that Springfield is safer with Misty Buscher as Springfield Mayor."
Local #37 Fire Fighters cited Buscher’s strong commitment to public safety and the well-being of Springfield’s citizens; Saying, "Throughout our interactions, Misty has consistently shown a strong commitment to public safety. She understands the critical role that professional firefighters play in keeping our community safe and has expressed a desire to support our department in any way she can."
Buscher has been the Springfield City Treasurer since 2015. She spent her past career assisting the citizens of the Springfield area as a Vice President at a local bank. Buscher says if elected, she will bring New Leadership for a Better Springfield.
