The Republican Representative Committee for the 95th District of the 103rd Illinois General Assembly announced the opportunity for a Republican to be appointed to fill the anticipated vacancy in the office of Representative following the expected resignation of Tim Butler from this office. The appointee will be expected to serve the entire term of office, which begins January 11, 2023.
A qualified candidate interested in the position must submit an application consisting of a letter of interest and a current resume. The letter of interest and resume must provide the following information:
· Why I want this position
· What I can do for district residents by serving in this position
· My past participation in local area community activities
· My past participation in Republican political activities in the district
· Work history, education, and other pertinent information
Letters of recommendation are welcome but not required.
To be considered, an application must be received at the Sangamon County Republican Central Committee headquarters by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022. The office is located at 1132 Sangamon Avenue, Springfield, IL 62702.
The meeting at which an appointee will be selected to fill the anticipated vacant term of office will be held on January 5, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sangamon County Republican headquarters, 1132 Sangamon Avenue, Springfield IL. This meeting will be open to the public.
