County Fair to Host Rodeo on June 16th

The Sangamon County Fair is set to host an evening of rodeo on Friday, June 16, 2023. Presented by Rogue Rodeo, this event promises to be an action-packed family entertainment experience that will feature powerful bucking stock, quality timed event cattle, competitive cowboys and cowgirls, and entertaining specialty acts that will provide a superior rodeo experience for spectators.

According to Roy Pierceall, the President of the Sangamon County Fair Board of Directors, "Hosting a family-friendly rodeo is perfectly aligned with the agricultural mission of the fair. Whether you've participated in rodeo or you've only seen it on TV, there's something to entertain everyone."

Rogue Rodeo, the company behind the upcoming event, is owned and operated by Jerry Beaumont and Stephanie Allgood. They live on a commercial cow/calf operation in Monroe County, Iowa, and have turned their passion for sports into producing fast-paced, exciting, family-friendly, professional rodeos.

Tickets to the event are $15, however, that tickets do not include the price of fair gate admission, which is $5. For those looking for an all-inclusive VIP experience, sponsorships are also available for purchase at varying levels.
