In partnership with Sangamon County Circuit Clerk Paul Palazzolo's office, the Chatham United Community Bank will offer a convenient passport registration day to the public this Saturday. This service provides an easy way to obtain this important travel document.
Passport agents from the circuit clerk's office will be at Chatham UCB to process passport applications from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29th at 301 N. Main in Chathm. Usual passport fees will apply. Current processing times are found at travel.state.gov.
Sangamon County Circuit Clerk Paul Palazzolo noted that this is a great way for his office to serve the public and make the passport application process easier for everyone. "We have worked hard to expand our services by offering passport photos now as well. For passports, the circuit clerk's office is as close to a one-stop shop as possible."
When applicants arrive at the bank for a passport, they must bring the following items: A certified copy of their birth certificate; valid photo ID; approved passport photo, certified copies of court orders for the name change, custody or adoption decrees, and two checks or money orders to pay applicable fees
If residents have any questions, they may visit www.sangamonpassports.org, or call the circuit clerk's passport office in advance at 217-747-5183.
