Crime Stoppers and the Springfield Police Department are urging the public to provide any information that may help in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting incident. The incident took place on May 18th, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., in the 2400 block of Taylor Ave.
According to authorities, the suspect is described as a male with a distinguished gray beard, short hair, standing at 6 feet tall, and weighing between 130-140 pounds. At the time of the incident, the suspect was dressed in dark clothing. Regrettably, photographs of the suspect are currently unavailable.
The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound during the incident, has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. The focus now shifts to apprehending the responsible party to ensure justice is served.
Crime Stoppers is encouraging anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of the suspect to come forward anonymously.
