Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

The Springfield Police Department, in collaboration with Crime Stoppers, is urging the public to come forward with any information related to a chaotic incident that unfolded on July 8 at the State House Inn on 101 E Adams St. Authorities are seeking assistance in identifying suspects involved in the disturbance, which left several individuals injured.


Responding to the scene, officers discovered a sizable crowd engaged in a violent altercation in the middle of the road. Subsequent investigations revealed that multiple criminal acts took place during the incident, resulting in various injuries, including one victim who was stabbed and others who were battered. The injured parties received medical attention at local hospitals, where they are currently being treated.


As of now, law enforcement officials have not been able to identify any suspects involved in the incident.Individuals with any information pertaining to this distressing event are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
