Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in identifying two individuals in connection with a theft and unlawful use of credit cards. On April 19, 2025, officers received a report of a wallet being stolen and credit cards being used at various businesses around Springfield.  

The suspects, who appear to be a black male and a black female, made several purchases in town totaling over $8,000.00.  Images of the individuals can be found on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us. 

If you have any information regarding this incident or can identify the suspects, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on cashfortips.us, or use the P3 app. If your tip results in an arrest, you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.
