This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department in identifying two individuals in reference to a felony retail theft that occurred at Family Dollar, 1935 W Monroe, in Springfield.

On July 25, 2025, around 8:30 pm, two black males, approximately 20 years old, entered the store and purchased two gift cards. After the transaction was completed with both suspects using the same card to pay, it was discovered that the card they used was fraudulent. One of the black males had long dreads, wearing a white T-shirt, and the other was wearing a black shirt and orange shorts.  Both males fled the store heading south.

Images of the individual can be found on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us. If you have any information regarding this incident or can identify the suspect, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on cashfortips.us, or use the P3 app. If your tip results in an arrest, you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.

Remember, Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.
