Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a recent burglary in the 2800 block of South 6th Street.
According to Springfield Police, officers were called to the scene on August 7, 2025, after a garage door was found forced open. Once inside, they discovered that several power tools, valued at more than $1,000, had been stolen.
The suspect was described as wearing a long-sleeve jacket with stripes and carrying a backpack. Photos of the individual are available on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us.
Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip online at cashfortips.us, or use the P3 app. Tips that lead to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
