On Saturday, September 30, the City of Springfield will team up with the Illinois Environment Protection Agency (IEPA) for a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Open exclusively to Illinois residents, this voucher-only drop-off initiative aims to promote responsible waste disposal.
To participate, secure a voucher from Springfield's Office of Public Works, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Remember, a valid voucher is essential and must be presented in either physical or digital form upon drop-off. Residential households are exclusively eligible; businesses and organizations are excluded.
Requesting a voucher is hassle-free at www.springfield.il.us/hhw, offering a choice of time slots. Vouchers can be emailed or printed. Note that registration closes upon slot exhaustion. If you miss your time or voucher, an overflow lane awaits, subject to the next availability.
Save the date: September 30, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.Illinois State Fairgrounds via Gate 6, Lot 21. Vehicles will exit via Gate 7 after disposal.
