Sangamon County State's Attorney Dan Wright and Ward 2 Alderman Shawn Gregory have partnered with several community organziations and leaders to host a 5k run/walk this weekend in Springfield.
The First Annual OneSpringfield Unity 5k is an informal, family-friendly event designed to bring ALL people of Springfield together. Open to people of any fitness level, participants can walk around the Southeast High School track or walk/run/ride the full 5k course. Traffic control and cheerleading provided courtesy of the men and women of the Springfield Police Department. All proceeds will benefit the programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois.
