Capital Township Supervisor Joe Aiello has selected Kelly Gilmore to serve the remainder of the term left vacant by the resignation of former Trustee Brad Carlson. Capital Township Trustees approved Gilmore by a unanimous vote at a meeting held earlier this week.

Gilmore, a Capital Township resident, is an active volunteer in the community. She has served on various boards, coached local athletic teams and mentored many of our youth. Professionally, Kelly has diverse leadership skills as a community builder, event manager and customer service advocate for associations and non-profits.

"I look forward to serving Capital Township and connecting people with resources that can make a difference in their lives," Gilmore commented on the appointment.

Capital Township Supervisor Joe Aiello said, "Kelly has a passion for customer service and advocacy that fits well with our mission to assist our underserved population and the homeless community in Springfield.”

Gilmores appointment is effective immediately; the current term expires in April 2025.
