Mark Hanna, Executive Director at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, has been named the recipient of this year’s Roger C. Marquardt Excellence in Aviation Leadership Award for his commitment and dedication to the Illinois aviation industry. The achievement was announced at the Annual Fall Illinois Public Airport Association Conference.
Frank J. Vala, Chair of the Springfield Airport Authority Board of Commissioners, commended Hanna, saying, “Mark Hanna has shown tremendous leadership and been a valuable aviation professional not only for the Springfield Airport Authority but also for the State of Illinois. His accomplishments in the aviation industry have had an enormous positive impact on the Springfield community and the rest of the state. We are very fortunate to have a proven leader like Mark at our airport. I want to personally congratulate him on this honor.”
The Illinois Public Airport Association was organized in 1954 by businesses and civic leaders to promote the development, construction, maintenance, and continued improvement of publicly-owned airports throughout the aviation system in the State.
