Horace Mann Donates $20,000 to Support Educators

As educators across the nation gear up to return to their classrooms after the summer break, the Horace Mann Educators Foundation has stepped forward to support them with a generous donation of $20,000. Horace Mann, a company dedicated to providing financial solutions for educators, is launching a back-to-school campaign through DonorsChoose, an education nonprofit that empowers public school teachers to acquire the resources they need for their classrooms.

Marita Zuraitis, the President of the Horace Mann Educators Foundation board of directors and President and Chief Executive Officer of Horace Mann Educators Corporation, expressed her gratitude for the hard work and dedication of educators. She stated, "As educators prepare to return to the classroom after summer break, we want to honor their dedication by helping them acquire the tools they need to best teach their students. This DonorsChoose match campaign is just one way to show educators they are valued and supported. It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all you do."

The Horace Mann campaign aims to gather support from the Springfield community and beyond to assist educators in their quest to create an enriching learning environment for their students. The Foundation has pledged $20,000 to match contributions to educator projects in Springfield and surrounding communities, including Cass, Christian, Logan, Macon, Menard, Morgan, Macoupin, and Sangamon counties.

The Foundation will also match donations made by Horace Mann employees in the communities where they work and live. Donors eager to contribute to the cause can visit DonorsChoose.org. The DonorsChoose match campaign is set to run until August 11.
