Innovate Springfield Hosts February Business Series

Innovate Springfield, the University of Illinois Springfield’s downtown business incubator, will host a series of events in February featuring Paul Magelli, a serial entrepreneur, investor, and director of Illini Angels at Illinois Ventures. Magelli, known for founding and scaling multiple successful ventures, will share his expertise in entrepreneurship, investment strategies, and business growth.


The events, held at Innovate Springfield (15 South Old State Capitol Plaza, Springfield), are open to the public and require online registration. They offer valuable insights for entrepreneurs, investors, and business professionals.

Magelli’s career includes leading Apertio to a $240 million acquisition by Nokia Siemens Networks and serving on the board of BroadSoft during its $1.9 billion acquisition by Cisco. He also founded Apervita, raising $18 million in Series A funding to serve nearly 60% of U.S. hospitals.


Illini Angels, a network of University of Illinois alumni investors, supports early-stage companies connected to the University of Illinois System.
