In a display of support for law enforcement, Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) has generously donated $10,000 worth of LLCU VISA® Gift Cards to multiple central Illinois Law Enforcement Agencies. These gift cards will serve as a means for patrolling officers to extend acts of kindness to the community, offering them to citizens in need. The timing of this noble initiative aligns with National Police Week, observed from May 14th to 20th.
For several years now, LLCU has been dedicated to aiding local law enforcement in their community outreach endeavors. The impact of their goodwill has resonated positively with local officials who have witnessed the remarkable deeds facilitated by these gift cards throughout the communities they serve.
The $10,000 donation was thoughtfully distributed in the form of individual $25 VISA® Gift Cards. These cards will now be carried by officers during their patrols, allowing them to promptly offer assistance whenever they come across a person in need. Vandalia Assistant Chief Jake Bowling expressed gratitude, stating, "We appreciate this donation from LLCU. It is a great way to assist the community we proudly serve."
The recipients of this benevolent contribution are police departments in various cities within LLCU's service area, including Bloomington, Centralia, Colchester, Decatur, Effingham, Mattoon, Nokomis, Normal, Pana, Springfield, and Vandalia.
