Meet Peppermint: This Week’s Adoptable Pet

This week, meet Peppermint.

Peppermint is a 1½-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix looking for a new family to call her own. The medium-sized, gray dog weighs about 56 pounds and is described as friendly, gentle and playful.

Peppermint enjoys playing and exploring and has plenty of energy. She loves toys, whether she is chasing after them or running around with a favorite toy. She has also had positive experiences around children and has shown that she can be gentle when meeting them. Peppermint previously enjoyed running and playing with other dogs in the Animal Protective League's play yard.

Peppermint is already spayed and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $175, and the Animal Protective League says she would do well in a home that can provide her with patience, playtime and affection.

Peppermint is one of several dogs and cats currently waiting for homes through the Animal Protective League in Springfield.

Animals adopted through the organization are spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworms or FeLV/FIV and current on vaccinations. Prospective adopters must complete an application before being approved for adoption.
