The Illinois State Museum is inviting young children and their families to participate in its newest program, the Mini Explorer’s Club. This free, hands-on summer class is designed to introduce children to the wonders of Illinois through music, movement, and creative activities.
The 45-minute sessions are held at 9:30 a.m. every Tuesday through August 26 at the museum’s Springfield location. Each week features a different theme focused on Illinois history, science, or art. Participants will engage in singing, exploring, and crafting as they learn about the state’s cultural and natural resources.
The program is recommended for children ages 18 months to 5 years, but all ages are welcome to attend.
