The Springfield Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a woman found unresponsive at her home in the 200 Block of North Daniels on Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a call reporting an unresponsive female at approximately 8 a.m. Upon arriving on the scene, they determined that the woman was deceased. Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has since identified the woman as 72-year-old Darlene O’Bryan of Springfield.
The Sangamon County Coroner's Office has performed an autopsy on O’Bryan, and the cause and manner of her death remain under investigation.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Springfield Police Department is continuing to investigate the situation, and officials have asked anyone with information to come forward.
