Bob Vose, former Springfield Alderman and founder of Vose Korndogs, passed away at the age of 94. The news was announced by Vose Korndogs in a heartfelt social media post.
Vose Korndogs, which was established in 1966, became a beloved Springfield institution known for its delicious and iconic korndogs. Bob Vose was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a respected public figure who was actively involved in various charitable organizations and served on the Springfield City Council.
Vose was deeply passionate about his community and worked hard to keep it beautiful. He was also known for his kind and friendly personality and had friends from all walks of life.
"Although it is a time of sadness, we must remember the legacy he created. We are beyond proud of everything he has accomplished in his 94 years. Not only was he known for Korndogs, but he was also involved in numerous charitable organizations, the Springfield City Council, and the list goes on." Bob really cherished his beloved “North End” and did his best to keep it beautiful. While he was known to us as family, he was known to so many as a friend. He had friends from all walks of life and, on occasion, many could be found having chili in his garage. He is going to be missed by the numerous people he has met throughout his life", the post read. "Springfield has truly lost a legend."
