Republican Women Sponsor New Children's Library Corner

The Sangamon County Republican Women are hosting a Children's Library Literacy Project on Thursday, May 18th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Pao Bistro in The Gables, 2824 Plaza Drive, Springfield. This event aims to raise funds and collect children's books to support the creation of a new Kiwanis' Children's Library Corner at the Springfield Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a home away from home for families with critically ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals. The new Children's Library Corner will help provide educational and literary resources for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The Sangamon County Republican Women hope to make a significant contribution to this cause by collecting both funds and children's books at their event.

The Sangamon County Republican Women encourages attendees to bring donations of funds and/or children's books to support the cause. Checks should be made payable to the Kiwanis Club of Springfield and can be brought to the event or mailed to the Sangamon County Republican Women, c/o Elizabeth Delheimer at 201 Prestwick Rd, Springfield, IL 62702. Additionally, online donations can be made at htto://scrw.square.site/.
