The Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office was honored to receive notice of an Violent Crime Victims Assistance (VCVA) grant award from the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
Sangamon County State's Attorney Dan Wright said, "This grant will allow our Victim Advocacy Unit to continue to provide efficient and effective services for victims of violent crime and their families. We are grateful for the support of the AG’s Office and their continued partnership in support of crime victims."
The Violent Crime Victim Assistance Bureau is dedicated to developing and improving activities and services that promote the recognition of rights, needs, and interests of crime victims in Illinois. They provide victims access to programs that supply needed information, assistance, and advocacy, And educate the public about victim services, ensuring that grantee agencies provide quality services.
