Sangamon County Fair Brings Country Stars to 2026 Fair

The Sangamon County Fair Board has announced the 2026 concert lineup at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds, featuring two major country music headliners.

Multi-platinum country artist Josh Turner will kick off the show. Known for his deep, recognizable voice, Turner has sold more than 8.5 million units worldwide and surpassed 2.5 billion global streams. Over his career, he has built a reputation for blending traditional country roots with contemporary success, earning a loyal fan base through chart-topping hits and consistent touring.

Also taking the stage is Scotty McCreery, who rose to national prominence after winning the 10th season of American Idol. Since then, McCreery has become a fixture in country music, earning one Double Platinum, four Platinum, and two Gold singles. His debut album, Clear as Day, made history in 2011 when it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, making him the first country artist—and the youngest male artist in any genre—to achieve that milestone with a debut release.

Now 31, McCreery has sold more than 4 million albums and earned six No. 1 hits, including “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” “In Between,” “You Time,” “Damn Strait,” and “Cab in a Solo.” His latest album, Rise & Fall, along with the EP Scooter & Friends, continues his run of chart success and features collaborations such as “Bottle Rockets” with Hootie & The Blowfish.

The concert will be held at the Sangamon County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. General admission and Party Pit tickets go on sale Friday, January 16, at 8 a.m. at sangcofair.com.
