A Sherman-area daycare employee has been arrested on child pornography charges following a joint investigation by the Sherman Police Department and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Nigel L. Tiller Jr., 29, was taken into custody on Saturday, April 20, on charges including one count of production of child pornography, classified as a class X felony, and four counts of possession of child pornography involving victims under the age of 13.
The investigation into Tiller was initiated after the Sherman Police Department received a report concerning possible child abuse by an employee at All His Children Developmental Center.
Subsequent to the report, authorities secured search warrants and gathered evidence that ultimately led to Tiller's arrest. The case remains under active investigation by the Sherman Police Department in conjunction with the Sangamon County State’s Attorney's Office. Officials have indicated that additional charges may be forthcoming.
