On Friday morning, February 2, Springfield High School received a call from a crisis helpline, reporting a potential threat of explosive devices on the premises.

School officials quickly evacuated students, and parents were informed. Springfield Police conducted a thorough investigation and K9 searches, ultimately declaring the building safe.

Students returned with additional security measures, entering through metal detectors overseen by law enforcement.
