The Illinois Symphony Orchestra’s summer concert series Sips & Sounds returns to Springfield in July and August with two upcoming performances blending live music and local hospitality.

Designed as a casual, community-centered event, Sips & Sounds brings ISO musicians to relaxed settings like breweries and restaurants. Attendees can enjoy live classical and popular music performances while sampling food and drinks at host venues.

In Springfield, the next performances will take place at Route 66 MotorHeads Bar & Grill, located at 600 Toronto Road. Concerts are scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM and Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

Both events are free to attend and open to the public.

Led by Music Director Taichi Fukumura, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra is the largest professional orchestra serving central Illinois. The ISO presents concerts and educational programs across Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, and surrounding areas, reaching over 35,000 people annually.

The Sips & Sounds series is made possible through support from individual donors and organizations, with partial funding provided by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
