Springfield Police Arrest Two on Firearm Charges

On November 4, 2024, the Springfield Police Department was made aware of a burglary that occurred in Bloomington, Illinois, where firearms had been stolen. Additionally, Springfield Police were provided with suspect and suspect vehicle information.


On November 5, 2024, the Springfield Police Department Street Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 16th Street. Intelligence was developed through an investigation that led to the issuance of a search warrant. The Street Crimes Unit and other patrol officers served the search warrant without incident. A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of a Glock 20 with an automatic switch and a Springfield Armory 9mm. The guns seized from the search warrant were the firearms stolen in the burglary that occurred in Bloomington, Illinois. Additional items were located during the search that were taken during the Bloomington burglary.


Frank K. Anderson, 23 years old, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm - NO FOID.




Bradford L. House, 20 years old, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon-machine gun and possession of a firearm - NO FOID.





Both Anderson and House are currently at the Sangamon County Jail.
