As the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, tournament organizers are bringing back a popular youth-focused event: GAMEDAY, presented by CEFCU. The program, geared toward juniors ages 8 to 18, will take place on Tuesday, June 24, and is free to attend with advance registration. Participation is limited to 50 children.

Now in its seventh year, GAMEDAY is part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Golf division and is designed to inspire young athletes through interactive experiences at PGA, LPGA, and Korn Ferry Tour events.

“We are excited to see GAMEDAY return this year. It has been incredible to witness its growth and the positive impact it has had on local youth,” said Kate Peters, Executive Director of the Memorial Health Championship. “Thanks to our partnership with CEFCU, we are able to continue offering this impactful experience and help nurture a passion for the game.”

The 2025 GAMEDAY program will run from 3:00 to 5:30 P.M. and provide participating juniors and their guardians with an inside-the-ropes opportunity during a Korn Ferry Tour practice round. Attendees will walk nine holes with professional golfers, observe their practice routines, and engage in one-on-one conversations. The day will conclude with a Q&A session focused on values like integrity and perseverance, along with autographs and photo opportunities.

“Golf offers kids not only the chance to improve their physical coordination, but also to build confidence and character,” said Janá Stevens, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Communications at CEFCU. “We are proud to support this event and bring it to the youth in our community at no cost.”

“The goal of GAMEDAY is to spark conversations about what truly matters—integrity, perseverance, faith, and goal setting,” added Jim Esary of FCA Golf. “We’re excited to continue making this special event a staple in Springfield during tournament week.”
