July 30th is National Cheesecake Day, and what better way to celebrate than with a homemade cheesecake that’s as rich and creamy as it is simple to make? Whether you prefer it plain or with a topping of fresh fruit, cheesecake is a crowd-pleasing dessert that never goes out of style.


Easy Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside.

  3. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.

  4. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set. Let the cheesecake cool in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  5. Before serving, top with your favorite fruit topping.
