Bank of Springfield Names Knoedler as New CEO

Bank of Springfield (BOS) announced the appointment of Jason Knoedler as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. With an impressive 18-year tenure, BOS leadership says Knoedler brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role.

In a statement, BOS said that throughout his tenure, Knoedler has demonstrated his ability to drive growth, cultivate a competitive sales team, and navigate the organization toward success. And that his strategic vision, dedication to excellence, and support for the communities served by the bank make him the ideal candidate to lead BOS into its next phase of development.

Knoedler succeeds Tom Marantz in the role of CEO, who will continue his role as Chairman of Spring Bancorp and BOS board.

"Jason’s proven track record of leadership and his ability to inspire those around him make him the perfect choice to lead BOS into the future. I look forward to continuing our teamwork for many years to come," commented Mike Pence, President of BOS.

A Springfield navtive, Knoedler graduated from Springfield High School and pursued his education at Lincoln Land Community College, where he excelled both academically and athletically. Knoedler's passion for baseball led him to Miami University (OH), where he distinguished himself as an All-American athlete and earned accolades such as Athlete of the Year for the University. Following his collegiate career, Knoedler had a six-year playing career within the Detroit Tigers' farm system after being drafted in the 6th Round.

Transitioning to the financial sector in 2006, Knoedler joined Bank of Springfield, where he has since become an integral part of the organization's success. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Knoedler remains deeply involved in the community, serving on various boards including Citizens Bank of Edinburg, St. John’s Hospital, YMCA Trustees, and the Springfield Southwest Baseball Association.

Knoedler and his wife Melissa raise their three children in Springfield.
