State Representative Mike Coffey and Chatham Village President Dave Kimsey are partnering to host a free community shred event on Saturday, October 4th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Chatham Square drive-up location.
The event is designed to provide residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents such as financial records, medical paperwork, and other personal files that should not be discarded in regular trash or recycling. Professional shredding equipment will be on-site, allowing participants to drive through and have their materials destroyed securely while they wait.
The service is offered at no cost to the public, reflecting an ongoing commitment to community safety and well-being. Participants are advised to arrive early, as demand for these events is typically high and shredding capacity is limited to the designated time window.
For additional information or assistance, residents are encouraged to contact Representative Coffey’s office at 217-782-0053 or via email.
