A residential burglary in Springfield this week is prompting a call for assistance from the public to track down the perpetrator. The incident took place on August 12, between 5 and 6 a.m., in the 1600 block of S. 16th Street, catching the homeowner off guard.


Law enforcement officials believe a male suspect shattered a rear window, causing $500 in damage, to gain entry into the occupied residence. The bold intruder made off with over $1300 worth of property, including electronics like televisions and gaming gear. Authorities have released images of the suspect on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us, in hopes of identifying him.
