Springfield police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in criminal damage at Humphrey’s Market, located at 1821 S. 15th Street.
Officers responded to the business on November 23 after staff reported that several windows had been smashed. According to police, security video shows that on November 22, around 11:30 p.m., a Black male in the parking lot picked up an object and threw it at the building, causing more than $4,000 in damage.
Images of the suspect have been posted on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us.
Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s identity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip online at cashfortips.us, or use the P3 app. If a tip leads to an arrest, the tipster may receive a reward of up to $2,500.
