Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects connected to a burglary and theft in Southern View.


According to Crime Stoppers, the incident occurred Feb. 4 between 3:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. at 10 Federal Storage in the 3500 block of South Sixth Street Road. Two unknown suspects, both wearing black hoodies, entered the facility after manipulating the gate.


Once inside, the suspects broke into storage units and stole jewelry, Xboxes and money before leaving the area on foot heading north. Images of the individuals are available on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us.


Anyone with information about the incident or the suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip online at cashfortips.us or use the P3 app. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
