Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

Crime Stoppers is seeking information to help the Springfield Police Department investigate a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

The incident happened at approximately 9:25 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, near the intersection of Wabash Avenue and Corbin Street, near Scooter’s Coffee. According to Crime Stoppers, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that did not stop and fled the scene.

The pedestrian suffered multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where they are being treated.

Crime Stoppers said any available photos or video will be posted at cashfortips.us.

Anyone with information about the incident, the suspect or the vehicle involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip at cashfortips.us or use the P3 app. Tips that lead to an arrest could result in a cash reward of up to $2,500.
