Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

Crime Stoppers is seeking information this week to help the Springfield Police Department identify a suspect connected to two retail thefts at Farm & Home stores.

The first theft happened April 29, 2026, at Farm & Home on North Dirksen Parkway. The second happened May 1, 2026, at the Farm & Home west-side location.

In both cases, the suspect is described as a white female with red hair wearing a blue shirt. Officials say she entered the stores and stole approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise before leaving without paying.

Anyone with information about the incidents or who can identify the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip at cashfortips.us or use the P3 app. Tips that result in an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
