Crime Stoppers to Host 14th Annual Trivia Night

The 14th Annual Crime Stoppers Trivia Night is set to take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Bank of Springfield (BOS) Center. Billed as the Midwest’s largest trivia event, it aims to surpass last year’s record of 135 participating teams.

Doors open at 5:00 PM, with trivia beginning at 6:30 PM. Teams of up to 10 players will compete for cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200 for first, second, and third place, respectively. Registration costs $150 per table, with early bird registrants receiving a complimentary gift basket.

The event will feature activities such as a 10-for-10 raffle, a 50/50 drawing, live music, and refreshments for purchase. Participants are also welcome to bring their own snacks. Trivia questions will be crafted by Russ Friedewald of Trivia Workshop.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization that provides anonymous channels for citizens to report information about crimes. Funded solely by donations and fundraisers, the organization offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for tips leading to arrests, helping to enhance public safety and reduce crime in the community.

Crime Stoppers officials say, "For just $15 per person (with a 10-person table limit), you'll be part of an unforgettable evening, and all the money raised will help fund our ongoing mission to make the community safer. This year alone, we've received over 800 tips, leading to the recovery of over $200,000 in stolen property, cash, and drugs. With your support, we can keep this momentum going into 2025 and beyond!"
