Dairy Queen Treat Day to Support St. John’s Children’s Hospital

Community members can support HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital by purchasing a Blizzard treat at participating Dairy Queen locations on July 30 as part of the restaurant’s annual Miracle Treat Day.

For every Blizzard treat purchased that day, participating Dairy Queen locations will donate $1 or more to their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Springfield’s only children’s hospital and a member of the Children’s Miracle Network, hopes to raise more than $7,500 through this year’s promotion.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have a children’s hospital in Springfield offering such services as the area’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit for very premature or critically ill infants and a newly expanded pediatric day hospital where kids can receive chemotherapy in a cheerful playroom,” said Mary Rogers, Program Manager – Children’s Miracle Network, HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Foundation. “We are grateful to DQ restaurants, which are not only providing joy with a sweet treat to our communities, but also enhancing the lives of our future generations.”

Over the past 42 years, Dairy Queen has raised more than $195 million for the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the United States and Canada.
