The Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series has five free Thursday night concerts remaining this summer, giving residents several more chances to enjoy live music downtown.

The series, presented by PNC and organized by the Springfield Area Arts Council, continues each Thursday through July 30 at the Y Block near the Illinois Governor’s Mansion, between Fourth and Fifth streets and Capitol Avenue.

Now in its seventh season, the series has brought free weekly concerts to downtown Springfield, featuring a wide range of music including Americana, jazz, bluegrass, funk, zydeco, blues, hip-hop, reggae, alternative rock, indie pop and soul.

Each Thursday night begins with a Kids Kickoff at 6:15 p.m., followed by an opening act at 6:45 p.m. and the headliner at 7:45 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and drinks. Food trucks and beverages are also available for purchase on-site, and nearby restaurants remain open for takeout service.

The remaining 2026 Levitt AMP Springfield schedule includes:

July 2: Shawn Holt & The Teardrops, Blues, with Devin C. Williams, Delta Blues

July 9: LowDown Brass Band, Hip-Hop/Reggae, with Unchaind, Funk Rock

July 16: ESSO Funk, Afro-Caribbean, with Taqsem and the Candy Jams, Reggae/R&B

July 23: Carver Commodore, Alternative Rock, with Attic Salt, Indie Pop Punk

July 30: Doc Robinson, Indie Pop/Soul, with Gold Maps, Alt Indie

The free concert series is made possible through local sponsorships, including a three-year matching grant from the Levitt Foundation and support from PNC Bank as presenting sponsor.

Organizers say the series is designed to bring people together through free, high-quality live music while helping activate downtown Springfield during the summer months. With only five shows left, residents still have time to check out the series before the season wraps up July 30.
