This upcoming weekend is the last chance to early vote in the 2023 Municipal Elections. Early voting has been available since February 23rd and will continue until Monday, April 3rd. The official election day is Tuesday, April 4th, 2023.
"We urge all eligible voters to cast their ballot and make their voices heard," said Sangamon County Clerk, Don Gray. "With early voting hours and convenient locations, we are working to make voting as accessible as possible."
Early voting is available at the Sangamon South Building on the 1st floor, located on 9th Street between Monroe and Capitol. Early voting hours during the final weekend leading into election day are as follows:
Friday, March 31st: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 1st: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 2nd: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Monday, April 3rd: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Residents can also take advantage of early voting services by mail or in-person at select locations.
"Early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot, and we encourage all eligible voters to take advantage of this option," added Gray.
