Free Back to School Bash Planned at Lincoln Museum

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will host a free Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 1, featuring games, crafts, educational activities and family entertainment.

The event is intended to offer children a day of activities as summer vacation begins to wind down, while also providing helpful services for parents and caregivers.

Children will have the opportunity to answer trivia questions, participate in art and science activities and interact with animals from the Henson Robinson Zoo. A food truck will also be available to sell snacks and drinks.

This year’s event will include Foam and Flight Bubble Parties, which allow children to play with bubbles ranging from tiny to giant.

The StoneLion Puppet Theatre will also perform, bringing bears, monsters and giant insects to life through puppetry.
