Guns, Drugs, and Stolen Property Seized in Springfield Arrest

A Springfield man was arrested Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant that uncovered illegal firearms, narcotics, and stolen property on the city’s east side.
According to the Springfield Police Department, the warrant stemmed from an investigation into 29-year-old Troy Walker and was carried out in the 2400 block of Wilshire with assistance from the Central Illinois Enforcement Group (CIEG) and the Springfield Police Street Crimes Unit (SCU).
During the search, officers seized four illegal firearms, U.S. currency, and significant quantities of suspected drugs, including approximately 642 grams of methamphetamine, 8 grams of cocaine, and 15 grams of crack cocaine. Authorities also located a stolen off-road vehicle on the property.
Walker was taken into custody and booked on multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, serialization of unfinished firearm frames, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of stolen property.
