Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) in Springfield has announced that it will open its doors to prospective students and community members for Campus Visit Day on Monday, Feb. 16, offering a free and informative opportunity to explore what the college has to offer. The event, set for 1-4:30 p.m. at the Springfield campus, located at 5250 Shepherd Road, invites individuals considering beginning or continuing their education or training to engage directly with faculty, staff and current students.
Attendees will have the chance to tour campus facilities, learn about LLCC’s wide range of academic transfer and career training programs, and speak with representatives from financial aid and admissions to gain insights into the enrollment process. Parking for visitors is free, and the schedule is designed to help guests tailor their experience to their interests.
The day begins with check-in at 12:30 p.m., followed by a welcome and student panel discussion at 1 p.m., which will be followed by informational presentations and opportunities to visit exhibits and participate in guided tours of key campus resources and academic areas. Participants can also apply for admission on site and ask questions about available support services.
LLCC officials say Campus Visit Day is a valuable way for future students to become familiar with the college’s supportive environment and affordable educational pathways. The college offers programs that prepare students for both transfer to four-year institutions and direct entry into in-demand career fields.
Prospective attendees are encouraged to register in advance through the LLCC website or by phone, though walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to register, interested individuals can visit the college’s Campus Visit Day page or contact LLCC’s recruitment staff.
