LLCC to Host Essential Workplace Skills Workshops

Lincoln Land Community College will host a series of Essential Workplace Skills (EWS) workshops in Springfield this fall, offering practical training designed to help participants improve communication, professionalism, problem-solving, and teamwork in the workplace. The sessions are open to job seekers, current employees, and anyone looking to strengthen their professional skills.
The program includes six three-hour workshops, each led by experienced instructors and supported by a Noncredit Strategies at Work Grant from the Illinois Community College Board. Thanks to this funding, participants can receive 50% off the registration fee by using the promotional code UPSKILL when registering.
The Springfield sessions will take place at LLCC’s Medical District location and include:
Practicing Professionalism at Work – August 29, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Navigating Challenges & Stressors – September 8, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Thinking Critically at Work – September 22, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Understanding Customer Service Essentials – October 6, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Building Stronger Teams Through Inclusive Practices – October 20, 8:30–11:30 a.m.
Each session focuses on key workplace topics, from improving communication and problem-solving to managing stress and fostering inclusivity in team environments.
