Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) has recently confirmed new leadership appointments, with Jason Dockter, Ph.D., assuming the position of vice president of academic services, and Shanda Byer taking on the role of vice president of student services. Both individuals had previously served as interims in their respective capacities since January.
Dr. Dockter's extensive background within LLCC includes roles as associate vice president of academic services, interim dean for multiple academic departments, and adjunct faculty coordinator. His impressive academic journey spans from a Ph.D. in English studies from Illinois State University to an A.A. from Elgin Community College.
Similarly, Shanda Byer's experience has been crucial in her selection as vice president of student services. Her career at LLCC began in 1998, holding positions such as associate vice president of enrollment services and director of financial aid. Byer's qualifications include an M.S. in administrative studies in organizational leadership from the University of South Dakota and a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Illinois College.
Charlotte Warren, Ph.D., LLCC's president, expressed her enthusiasm for the appointments, emphasizing Dockter and Byer's commitment and contributions to the institution. The LLCC Board of Trustees ratified the appointments in August.
