A New Berlin woman is dead following a single-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 54.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon says Elizabeth Fernandez, 36, was brought in by EMS to Springfield Memorial Hospital’s emergency room after being involved in a single-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 54 on Friday morning.
Fernandez was pronounced deceased at 11:48 a.m, shortly after her arrival.
The accident remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Illinois State Police.
