The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office will hold a job fair on Saturday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Atrium of the Sangamon County Building at 200 South Ninth Street in Springfield. The event is designed to connect job seekers with career opportunities in law enforcement, corrections, and public safety support roles.
The hiring event will feature representatives from the Sheriff’s Office who will be available to discuss open positions, explain the application process, and provide insight into the department’s operations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in on-site testing and other assessments related to employment within the office.
“The Sheriff’s Office is looking for motivated individuals who are ready to serve our community,” said Sheriff Paula Crouch. “This event is designed to give applicants a convenient, one-stop opportunity to explore rewarding careers in public safety.”
Those interested in attending are encouraged to bring a valid identification. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions, outline available benefits and training opportunities, and guide applicants through the next steps toward employment.
In addition to the Sheriff’s Office, Sangamon County Court Services will also participate in the event to highlight open positions for probation and detention officers. Both roles offer competitive starting salaries, pension benefits, paid time off, and health, dental, and optical insurance.
